Steam Whistle 12K January 1st, 2009

The Pine Belt Pacers, represented by Becky Ryder and Audrey Jackson, presented the Trace with a check in the amount of $1500, raised at the 2009 12K Steam Whistle Run.  The donation will be used to develop the education/nature classroom which will be located at the Denbury Beaver Pond. Accepting the check for the Trace was the Pearl & Leaf Rivers Rails to Trails Recreational District Board President Lynn Cartlidge.
Race Director for the Steam Whistle 12K each year is Tony Mozingo

Pine Belt Pacer Tony Mozingo presented Longleaf Trace Trail Manager Herlon Pierce with a $700 check on 2/7/05. The check was the result of money raised from the first Steam Whistle 12K, held New Year's Day on the Trace, which Tony directed. See a full report and pictures of the event.
